Robert Cross
Position: Chairman

Robert Cross has more than 20 years of experience as a financier in the mining and oil & gas sectors.  Mr. Cross is a co- founder and Non-Executive Chairman of Bankers Petroleum Ltd., Non-Executive Chairman of B2Gold Corp., and until October 2007, was the Non-Executive Chairman of Northern Orion Resources Inc.  Between 1996 and 1998, Mr. Cross was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Yorkton Securities Inc.  From 1987 to 1994, he was a Partner, Investment Banking with Gordon Capital Corporation in Toronto.  He has an Engineering Degree from the University of Waterloo, and received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1987.

Abdel F. (Abby) Badwi
Position: Vice Chairman

Mr. Badwi is an international energy executive and professional geologist with more than 35 years experience in the exploration, development and production of oil and gas fields in North America, South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Mr. Badwi retired from his position as President & CEO of Bankers Petroleum in March of 2013. From 2005 until September 2007, he was President and CEO of Rally Energy Corp., an oil and gas company with operations in Egypt, Pakistan and Canada. Mr. Badwi has been an officer and director of several Canadian public and private companies and is currently a director of Bankers Petroleum Ltd. and Valeura Energy Inc.

Ian McMurtrie

Position: Executive VP, Exploration and Development

Mr. McMurtrie has extensive expertise in the development of oil pools using innovative drilling technologies. He has been directly involved in the discovery and development of numerous oil and gas pools throughout North America for such companies as Czar Resources Ltd., United Rayore Gas Ltd., and Raptor Capital Corporation.  He is currently a Director of Porto Energy Corp., and P1 Energy Corp.

Eric Brown, CA
Position: Director

Mr. Brown is a Chartered Accountant and has over 25 years experience in the financial services industry. He also possesses many years of experience in publicly traded company governance as a Director of companies listed on Canadian stock exchanges (TSE, VSE, ASE, CDNX) and has served as Chairman and member of public company audit committees.

John Zaozirny
Position: Director

Mr. Zaozirny is Vice Chair of Canaccord Capital, a Governor of the Business Council of British Columbia, and a Director of a number of public and private companies. He served as Alberta's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources from 1982 to 1986 when he negotiated the end of the national energy program while also chairing the cabinet committee on economic development. He was also named Resource Man of the Year by the Alberta Chamber of Commerce.

Phillip R. Knoll
Position: Director

Phillip R. Knoll is the President of Knoll Energy Inc., an energy consulting and venture capital company. Previously, he acted as Group Vice President, Duke Energy Gas Transmission, and Chair, Management Committee and President for Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline. Mr. Knoll has over 30 years of varied experience in the energy sector, primarily related to energy infrastructure businesses.  Mr. Knoll has held leadership roles in the development, acquisition, implementation and operation of businesses across the natural gas value chain.   He is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University and the Technical University of Nova Scotia (P.Eng). 

General Wesley K. Clark
Position: Director

Wesley K. Clark, General, US Army (ret.) served 38-years in uniform. His last military position was NATO's Supreme Allied Commander and the Commander-in-Chief of the US European Command. Since returning to the private sector in 2004, he has resumed activities as CEO of Wesley K. Clark & Associates, a strategic advisory and consulting firm. He also serves on the boards of directors of several public and private companies. He is Chairman of Rodman and Renshaw, an investment bank based in New York and London.  General Clark graduated first in his class from the United States Military Academy (B.S.) and completed degrees in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University (B.A. and M.A.) as a Rhodes Scholar.

Jonathan Harris
Position: Director

Based in London, England, Mr. Harris holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the London Business School. He has over 20 years international experience in a senior management capacity with various companies and currently runs his own consulting business in London, UK.  As well as being a director of a number of privately held companies he has served on the boards of Eastern Platinum Ltd and Hard Assets Inc.
