A new steam injection project will revive oil production in the Patos-Marinza oilfield

The project promises to increase oil production by 5-15% more.

A new technology through steam injection will revive oil production in the Pato-Marinza oilfield. This is our investment at over US$ 20 Million that promises a transformative chapter for the area.
The company’s CEO Huanqin Xiao says that this milestone in the journey exemplifies Bankers’ commitment to innovation, sustainability positioning it as a cornerstone in continued success.

“Our comprehensive study reveals that the Gorani zone in the Patos-Marinza oilfield harbors more than 50 million tons of Original Oil in Place, making it a prime candidate for the steam stimulation recovery. Anticipating the successful execution of our thermal development plan, we forecast a remarkable annual growth of 5%-15% in the total production of the Patos-Marinza oilfield from 2025 to 2029. By 2029, we envision the total annual production of the Patos-Marinza oilfield surpassing 800,000 tons of oil” says Huanqin Xiao, CEO of the company

But Bankers will not stop there. CEO Xiao says that next year another important project will solve the oil sludge issue.

“The project, which covers an area of over 30,000 m2, is expected to be completed within a year and is one of the most important undertaken by Bankers in recent years. With this initiative, we think we have found a permanent solution to the treatment of the oil sludge’s deposited inside the ecological pits and to start the rehabilitation of the old ecological pits,” continued Mr. Xiao.

The year 2024 stands out with importance for Bankers and the oil industry in Albania as it marks 20 years full of challenges, ambitions and extraordinary progress.
