Huanqin Xiao
CEO & General Director

Mr. Huanqin Xiao was appointed CEO & General Director of Bankers Petroleum Albania in August 2022. He has over 39 years of experience in different oil companies inside and outside of China. As a professional geologist Mr.Xiao has worked and developed oil exploration & production in various important projects . Mr.Xiao has led successfully companies such as Sinopec, Sinochem and Geojade and also oil projects in Colombia, Peru, Brazil and Kazakhstan counting more than 11 years of international experience. He holds a PHD on Structure System Analysis from China Academy of Sciences, a Master Degree in Geoscience from China University and a BS in Regional Geology from Zhejiang University, China.

Desheng Ma
Executive DGD

Mr. Desheng Ma, Executive Deputy General Director of Bankers, is in charge of the departments of Reservoir Engineering, Geology Development, EOR, Production Engineering and Thermal Development in June, 2023. Mr. Ma, who is professor of engineering and doctorial tutor, holds a doctor of oil and gas field development from Wuhan Geology University. He has around 37 years of working experience for scientific research and production of oil and gas field development in companies such as Liaohe Oilfield of Petrochina, Research Institute of Exploration and Development of Petrochina. He once served as Executive Deputy Director of the State Key Experiment of EOR, Senior Technical Expert of oil and gas field development of CNPC and Chief Technical Expert of EOR of Research Institute of Exploration and Development of CNPC.

Lianyi Wang
CFO

Mr. Lianyi Wang is appointed CFO of Bankers, effective 11th March,2024. Mr. Wang holds a Master of Accounting from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and a Bachelor of Accounting from Hohai University in China. He has 19 years (including 14 years outside of China) of working experience in companies such as Sinopec International Petroleum Exploration and Production Corporation, China National Oil and Gas Exploration and Development Corporation, Tunghsu Group and GeoJade Petroleum Corporation in China, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, and Kazakhstan. His areas of expertise include finance, investment, tax optimization, project acquisition, internal audit etc. in the energy sector with the understanding of international accounting standards.

Zhang Fuguo
DGD, HR & Administration Manager

Mr. Fuguo has joined Bankers Petroleum Albania Ltd. on January 28, 2022 in capacity of HR & Administration Manager. He was promoted as Deputy General Director in July 1st, 2022. He has over 15 years (including 10 years outside of China) of working experience on top-level recruitment and consulting projects in many different industries. Before joining Bankers, Mr. Fuguo worked with multinational companies such as: Sinohydro Bureau in Ethiopia, Qatar and China, AVIC International RealEstate in Tanzania, Guangzhou Senda Group in East Africa, Country Garden Property in Indonesia and Shijiazhuang Yiling Phamarceutical Co. Ltd in China. He has proven success in managing and promoting business development by adapting international strategies and achieving a favorable situation for all parties. Mr. Zhang is a certified HR Manager and is graduated from Hebei Normal University in China for English language.

Ke Xu
DGD, Legal & Special Projects

Dr. Ke XU has joined Bankers Petroleum Albania Ltd. on 22 April 2021 in the capacity of Deputy General Director covering Legal and Special Projects. He has a broad legal practice that spans the oil and gas, financial services sectors, international arbitration and dispute resolution and on-going legal advice to multinational businesses. Dr. Xu has 15 years of experience in petroleum projects world-wide and has assisted with international energy projects in Bangladesh, China, Kazakhstan, Russia and USA. Before joining Bankers Petroleum Albania LTD, he worked with several multinational companies and law firms in Almaty, Beijing, Hong Kong, London, where he primarily worked on mergers and acquisitions, dispute resolution, corporate and investment matters. Mr. Xu holds a PhD in Law from Lancaster University, England.

Lijun Zhao
Deputy General Director

Mr. Zhao joined Bankers Petroleum Albania Ltd. on May 01, 2019 in the capacity of Thermal Department. Mr. Zhao holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Northeast Petroleum University, China. He has 20 years (including 12 years work experience abroad) of working experience in Sinopec ,Sinopec Shengli oilfield, Sinopec International Petroleum Exploration and Production Corporation in China, Syria, Columbia and Gabon. His areas of expertise include well completion, artificial lifting, thermal production, Well stimulation etc... With all his background and experience, we are confident that Mr. Zhao will bring a valuable leadership and knowledge to fulfil the tasks that go with the job. Kastriot Muskaj
DGD, Chief Compliance Officer

Mr.Muskaj joined Bankers in 2004, since the starting of the company’s operations in Albania. He is a professional geologist with more than 37 years of experience in the exploration and development of oil and gas in Albania. He has worked in Marinza oilfield from the starting of his career and with his professional skills has improved remarkably the performance of this important asset. He has held different senior staff technical and asset manager positions in Bankers Petroleum Albania and from March 2019 he held the position of Operations Director. Through his career he has managed to improve the oilfield performance and increase efficiency Since 2020, Mr.Muskaj holds the position of the Deputy General Director and Chief Compliance Officer. He has a Master Degree in Petroleum Geology Branch of the University of Tirana.

Chris Thompson
DGD, Production and Operations

Mr.Thompson joined Bankers Petroleum Albania in June 2011 and he has held different management positions within the company. He is a very-well experienced heavy & light oil engineer and has a very deep expertise on the oil industry and technology. Through his professional skills Mr.Thompson has helped the company grow and improve methods in oil production. Before joining Bankers he worked as e production Engineer at Nexen company. He holds a degree in industrial Systems Engineering from the University of Regina.

Hongping Xiao
DGD

Mr. Hongping Xiao was appointed Deputy General Director of Bankers, in charge of the departments of Supply Chain Management in June, 2023. Mr. Xiao, who is a senior engineer of petroleum exploration and development, holds a bachelor degree of exploration technology and engineering from Northeast Petroleum University. He has 20 years of working experience from seismic exploration, microseismic monitoring of fracturing, geological and reservoir study, oil exploitation, production engineering, oilfield operation, oily waste treatment. He has ever served as project manager in Liaohe Oilfield of PetroChina, project manager in Schlumberger, chief engineer in Maten Petroleum of Geo-jade. Since he joined in Bankers in 2018, he has served as deputy manager of geology and development, manager of production engineer, manager of HSE, director of production and operation.
