Regarding several publications on social media and other media outlets claiming that Bankers Petroleum Albania has “disappeared” USD 12 million from two export shipments of product extracted in Patos-Marinëz through an “unknown” account, this is untrue, not real, and is intended to damage the image of Bankers Petroleum Albania.
The company states that no such action has taken place. All of the company’s financial and banking accounts are known to the state, are monitored by the agencies that oversee the respective concession agreement, and ensure full transparency for all interested parties.
We invite interested media outlets to distance themselves from falsehoods, respect the journalistic standard of relying on two sources of information, and refrain from spreading harmful misinformation with consequences.
Bankers Petroleum Albania is open to providing public information regarding the facts related to its economic activity, in accordance with the law and the company’s social responsibility. We request that the media act with accuracy and publish this company clarification in accordance with Albania’s media law.
