Press Release – 22 October 2025

Press Release, 22 October 2025
Bankers Petroleum Albania Ltd

As part of transparency efforts, the company has also informed state institutions and partners about the situation.

Dear colleagues,

As you may be aware, the company has been closely monitoring the ongoing strike. In an effort to establish open communication and seek a constructive dialogue, we requested a meeting with Union representatives, which was held yesterday afternoon. However, the discussion did not progress as expected, and we were unable to share key updates during the meeting, including the timing for the upcoming increase in the food allowance.

We would like to reassure all employees and our partners that operations are continuing as normal, and production has not been affected by the strike.
Despite the current challenges, the company remains committed to implementing the planned increase in the food allowance, effective November 1st.

At this time, we are not in a position to approve any additional increases, due to ongoing financial pressures, including the drop in oil prices to 60 US$ to barrels and forecasts suggesting a further decline next year and also an unfavorable USD exchange rate which has increased local costs by 30%.
Our focus remains on ensuring salary continuity and maintaining the financial stability of the company.

We thank you for your continued professionalism and dedication.
